Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has carried out an investigation at the Transport Department of Riga City Council. Representatives of the departement has no right to comment or give an information to media about any of occured proceedings.

'LNK Group' īpašnieki ziedojuši Šlesera pārstāvētajām partijām

The owners of the company "LNK Group" Milovi family once have donated 52 644 euros to the political forces represented by former politician Ainars Slesers. Overall, in 2010 the chairman of the board of "LNK Group" Aleksandrs Milovs donated 25 611 euros to the political association "Par Labu Latviju" ("For a Good Latvia"). In 2009 the chairperson of the management board Artjoms Milovs donated to "Šlesera Reformu partijai LPP/LC" ("Reform Party of Slesers LPP/LC") and the assistent of the chairman of the board Vadims Milovs to this no more existing party allocated 14 228 euros.

Lietuvā aizturēto 'Latvijas Tiltu' vadītāju un Klaipēdas ostas amatpersonu neapcietinās

The chairman of the board of the bigest road and bridge construction company of Latvia "Latvian Bridges" Genadijs Kamkalovs and the director of State Seaport Directorate Infrastructure of Klaipeda Ģedemins Zumars will not be asked to set a security measure as a detention. Special Investigation Service of Lithuania (STT) in collaboration with the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau of Latvia (KNAB) have detained previously mentioned two officials from Lithuania and six employees from Latvia, "Latvian Bridges" company.

KNAB investigations on LNK Industries

In June 2016 the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) of Latvia together with the Special Investigation Service of Lithuania (STT) arrested and later released the "Latvijas Tilti" Chairman of the Board Mr. Genadijs Kamkalovs and several employees of "LNK Industries". The arrested persons were suspected of bribery and misuse of public position.

'LNK Industries': KNAB izmeklēšana saistīta ar Rīgas domes iepirkumu

A Board member from "LNK Industries" Mr.Davids Lipkins approved that the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has investigated his employees in connection with the Riga City Council procurement on additional works on one of the Riga bridges - Salu tilts. He denied the possibility that the employees of "LNK Industries" could have been involved in bribing.

The Special Investigation Service of Lithuania (STT) has released the Chairman of the Board of "Latvijas tilti" Mr.Genadijs Kamkalovs and the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau of Latvia (KNAB) has released all "LNK Industries" employees that have been previously arrested. Investigations against the employees of the "LNK Industries" were started due to suspicion of bribery during one of the construction procurements at the Riga City Council involving reconstruction work on one of the city's bridges.

Atbrīvo visus korupcijas lietā aizturētos «LNK Industries» un «Latvijas tilti» darbiniekus

All "LNK Industries" employees and the Chairman of the Board at "Latvijas tilti" Mr.Genadijs Kamkalovs who were arrested in the joint anti-corruption operation of Latvian and Lithuanian institutions were released on 17th June 2016. Mr.Genadijs Kamkalovs was suspected of bribing an official at the Port of Klaipeda. The "LNK Industries" employees were suspected of bribing and misuse of public position.

Mayor of Balmazújváros Margit Veres is charged with bribery. Previously she was the notary of the town and she allegedly helped an entrepreneur to receive 180 million forints non-refundable support.
