Blatter: "Man kann eine WM nicht kaufen"

Fifa president Joseph Blatter has defended himself in an Times Interview. According to him it is not possible to buy a World Cup and the accusation against him are false. Blatter and UEFA head Michel Platini are suspended by the Ethik commission of Fifa as they are accused of corruption. Both did object their suspension.

FIFA - Beckenbauer: "Vielleicht Fehler gemacht"

German football legend and chief organiser of the World Cup 2006 in Germany has denied knowleadge of a payment which got from his account to Qatar and fifa officer Mohammed bin Hammam. The investigations of Freshfields had shown that six Million swiss franc were transfered from Beckenbauer's account to manager Robert Schwan, who died shortly after, and then to dubious bin Hammam. Additionally Beckenbauer stressed that no bribery money was paid in order to get the World Cup to Germany.
